I still have classes Monday and Tuesday. :(

Now I go back to watching horror movies with Jay writing that Spanish essay that's due tomorrow.

What is this creature

called Free Time?

Tennis and tennis practice. Lot's of it, and more to come next week. I'm not winning any matches but that's not really news. My Spanish professors are really gonna get pissed now though. I'll be missing about two weeks worth of classes. Ha, that's gonna be fun making up.

I have a take-home spanish test I'm supposed to be working on, as well as studying for my molecular biology exam monday. I don't really feel like doing any of that. Oh, in spanish, they don't capitalize names of countries and weekdays. Seeing as how I've been doing more writing in Spanish than in English I'm just gonna stick with it.

Hootie's stitches are out, and the vet said that she's doing quite well for her age. Mango is also healthy now. Thank goodness. He even brought us a present yesterday morning, a dead chipmunk. I don't really feel sorry for it. Mango was in his harness and on a leash when he caught it. That type of fail doesn't deserve to pass on its genetics.

I'm finally gonna start on my senior research. Yay!

Hootie's surgery is set for the 18th. It's to remove the fatty tumor at her throat. She should be fine and all that but a couple prayers thrown her way would be appreciated. ^^

On a lighter note, I finished The Host a couple days ago... and it was alright. There were several things that I liked and disliked about the book but I don't think it ever had the chance of being loved by me.

1. You know how Kelsey doesn't like birds and Sarah doesn't do squirrels, well, I HATE parasites, with a passion.
2. I also hold no sympathy for invaders of any sort. It has to do with my genetics, I think.
3. Thus, I disliked the main character all the way through out the book.

Super ultra busy week.

Oooooh, I haven't posted here in a long while.

Let's start with Thanksgiving then.

I drove to Kentucky after lunch with my family that wednesday. There was a lot of DDR with my cousins, who don't have any gaming systems. I feel their pain because my siblings and I weren't allowed to have a PS2 or anything for a long time. So every time we visit we bring the PS2 along.

Thanksgiving day was lovely and dinner was rather nice and normal. Kinga and I decided to keep our annual Thanksgiving drinking tradition alive, the one we started last year in my basement. Our parents, however, were drinking whiskey, of all things. Kinga and I both rather abhor the taste. But lo and behold there was an unopened Smirnoff bottle in the liquor cabinet. Kinga was rather hesitant to open it but I went right along, and got my mother to cover for us. I love my mom. I really do. This had to be done because my uncle is a huge hipocrite and believes that Kinga is only allowed to drink what and when he offers her a drink, and then its only wine or a martini with dinner. Kinga and I both got fairly buzzed and happy, though we did get really disapproving looks from Justyna. Things got more amusing when Kinga's new BF called. Ha, we didn't even have to drunk dial him. We went on a walk and chatted to sober up at around 3 in the morning.

Next day was spent happily enough until dinner. Ahhhhh, my aunt can't cook. She just really, really sucks at it. She made "chili," at least that's what she called it. It was ground meet cooked in cinnamon and water, poured on top of noodles. Raw onion and grated cheese are put on top of that and its topped with oyster crackers. I think it was her own invention. *shudders* I ate my plate purely out of politeness. Ugh, my mom tried desperately hard to get out of that meal tactfully but failed miserably as well.
That evening we went to a free concert on 4th Street live. It was a local band Kinga is rather fond of called Cabin. I met her BF Ben there for the first time and after a bit of scrutinizing decided that we was a pretty decent guy. He got my stamp of approval and Kinga was rather relieved. I think that I was some sort of test or something for him. I wonder what she would have done if I had told her that he was a complete douche bag. We finished the Smirnoff that evening and pity onlocked everything on the DDR game.

Saturday, both sets of parents left. We were left to eat the leftovers from the last two days. Though as soon as the coast was clear I made a stir fry from the poor ingredients I could scrounge up. It didn't come out that badly, and my siblings and Kinga had a real dinner that night. We were out of booze so we played our traditional Cops and Robbers game, which is a version of our own invention of many years back, and charades. Overall it was a fabulous visit. The only draw back was the fact that I missed my peeps in Rockford.

The next week was a nightmare though. I had an exam in chemistry and physics and both did not go well. Now I'm trying very hard to get all my classes and grades up proper.

That was my dinner tonight. I just felt like throwing that out there.

Sooo, chem lab on Tuesday was a disaster.
I was the disaster.
This is how it went. Everyone's doing their thing, sorting out mystery powders and getting ethanol and water heated when CRASH.  That's me knocking the corked flask with my organic compound to the floor. There's glass everywhere and our compound is hanging out on the dirty cement. I hear a few chuckles, a little joke. My professor  hands my  partner a little spatula and tells us it's no big deal because we were going to recrystallize the solid anyway. She picks up the solid. I gather the glass shards. Now fast forward about forty-five minutes. Everything is back on track, everyone's cooking or cooling their compounds when once again CRASH. C'mon guess who it was this time. Guess... Me. ME AGAIN! While I was checking my boiling acid and water mixture the damn flask slipped out of the tongs and shattered all over the table and floor. I don't hear laughter. I get pity sounds. I let my partner finish up, who by the way is an awesome gal about my sister's age. She was really nice about it. If she had done the same shit, I probably would have told her to go home and not touch anything else ever again. That was that.  I don't know what was wrong with me.

*sigh* Eating isn't as much fun as it used to be. My wisdom teeth are finally starting to grow in and that part of my mouth is a little sore. This is funny. My brother's wisdom teeth are growing in at the same time. He's two and a half years younger than me. What the hell? Though, as I recall, my baby teeth did last a long time as well. Ah bugger, I don't have a dentist or any dental coverage.

Jisatsu...

So perhaps I don't have to slit my wrists just yet. Physics exam turned out to be a B, a low one, but a B none-the-less. I got more points than I deserved, I think.

Hmmm, the Clark Arts Center is haunted. Audio and Visual equipment just goes nuts in that place; falling TVs, possessed VCRs and stereos that turn on by themselves. It makes my World Music class a lot less dull. ^^

I've been having odd dreams again. They've been very horror/sci fi-ish.  Zombies seem to be a major recurring theme. This is funny, I haven't read or watched anything like that in ages. They're interesting at least. I could write stories, perhaps not very good ones, from both.

I'm sleepy...

It is incredible how much physics exams crush the soul. I came home monday from the two and a half hour exam bruised and battered emotionally and mentally. I hate that class. I'll hate it more when I get the grade tomorrow morning.

Soooo, I had Gloria, Ellen and Candace over on Saturday. We had a bonfire and I made them food. Candace left and then we played video games and watched the Death Note movies. I think they had a nice time. Ellen seemed a little bored though. I may have neglected her a little. Hmmm, my hostess skills still need a little more work. I'm learning though.

I finished Eclipse finally. It seemed better than the second book but all the emotional drama in the end bored me. I was rather hoping that Bella would finally be turned into a vampire and that would be that. Meyer is kinda milking it, I think.  Oh and if I've offended Kelsey or Nina I apologize.

My week so far...

Something, something
[info]cyber_acid
This Week...

Something Tasty: Cream of Wheat made with soy milk and drizzled with hand-picked (my hand) hand-made rasberry sauce. It's my breakfast of choice lately, when I eat breakfast at least.

Something Nasty: A guy in my playwrighting class was chewing tobbaco. He had an old soda bottle he was spittling into the whole time. It was about two inches filled with his brown spit. I almost gagged. And everytime I heard him spit, I winced. Soooo grooooossss! Ewwwwwwwwww!

Something Bad: I didn't do very well on my chem exam. Shit, shit, shit.

Something Good: ... Ummm... I got new tennis shoes. They're quite cute.

No Halloween this Year
[info]cyber_acid
Hmm, I haven't posted in a while. The last two weeks have been rather busy, hence I didn't do anything Halloween related. I feel rather bad about that. I had an exam in Orgo today. Happy Halloween indeed. I have a physics exam next monday. Last week I had about a hundred labs due. Ugh. The writeups ar killing me. I'm so sick of them. My luminol lab was a success though. Mine glowed the brightest and longest. I was sure that it wasn't going to glow at all when I made it last week. I stepped on a shard of glass in the basement last weekend. It didn't really hurt but I did have to clean up all the blood spots I left on the floor by accident.

Goodness, I'm such a boring individual. Nevermind, my brain is fried from orgo. I'm giving up on this post.

Fall Break Has Cometh
[info]cyber_acid
Ha, no classes for the rest of the week as soon as I'm done today. I have a test and a lab procedure due in Orgo, but besides that I'm good. Though it seems my mom plans to put me into yard work hell as soon as I'm done. Ooooh I can't wait. I made fried rice with my mom yesterday. It came out amazing for once. Really, its a little harder to make than it sounds. There a couple of tricks to it. Anyway.... that's all for now.

Tennis no Ohime-san.... Owarida
[info]cyber_acid
I played well at the tournament. No wins though, but I wasn't expecting any playing 1 singles.

Ah, I have an arch rival!
It feels like Prince of Tennis all over. The one chick that I beat in Benedictine was after my blood at the tournament. I found this so funny and surreal. Apparently my coach heard her talking with her parents and when they asked her who she was playing first she growled at them that she was only interested in playing against that "Rockford girl." This made my tennis season all worthwhile. Ahahahaha. I'm sure she's hoping to see me next year. :)

I stayed with Sarah and played guitar-hero. I met some of her friends and we watched the Fantastic Four, such a bad movie. It was pretty amusing though. "Where are your ears?"

I had to write a three minute play. My play ended up being eleven minutes long instead. It was an adaptation from my Fox's gift story. I need to edit the hell out of it before I turn it in for real. However I'm afraid that doing so will lengthen it further. Please, does anyone want to help me?

I made dinner for my family today, the first time in nearly two months. It turned out alright. I didn't have that much to work with.

More Awake than Asleep
[info]cyber_acid
I have a physics test Friday and I tried really hard to study for it this weekend. The first time I fell asleep. The second time I couldn't concentrate and I got angry. So I did what most males about my age would do. I played video games instead. Still not very pleased with myself but at least I stopped stressing.

I've managed to do something to my ankle again. I don't even know what or when, but I woke up last Thursday morning and it was giving me hell. My tennis match on Saturday wasn't fun, nor will the one tomorrow be either. Stupid ankle. Truthfully though, I can't wait until tennis is over. It just takes up way too much time. Don't get me wrong though, it's still my favorite sport.

I have to leave for sculpture soon. I'm really fond of this class. I made a little imp out of sticks and hot glue last week and I adore it. Today I'm working with clay slabs; it should be entertaining. I'm glad I took this class.

A Human's Worst Habit:
[info]cyber_acid
Finding meaning where there is none.

This was an ugly week.

It's Uncanny
[info]cyber_acid
I've figured it out, the reason why I can't really stand my physics professor and the reason why I've felt like I've met him before. He's just like Slughorn from Harry Potter! It's crazy how similar their characteristics are. Just switch Slughorn's mild prejudice against muggle-borns into sexism. They're a perfect match.

* They both think very highly of themselves.
* They both collect students and alumni and hit them up for favors later (only the successful ones)
* They both discriminate affectionately and constantly
* I dislike both of them

There are other smaller similarities too.

I am a witch
[info]cyber_acid
 Caught swimming in tainted moonlight.
This was the theme of my last dream.

I just finished writing a scene for my playwrighting class. It's alright, I guess. The subject-matter was rather restrictive. It's been a while since I've naturally sucked at a class. Physics doesn't count. I swear I'd be rocking that class if I had good teachers. Which reminds me, I have a test in less than a week. Damn.

Another Stunning Defeat
[info]cyber_acid
But damn, when I lose, I lose in style. I re-wrapped my tennis racket handle. It shouldn't slip so often now. Mom suggested that I retire the racket altogether. I'm not so sure. I'm rather attached to it. We've fought valiantly together. It wouldn't feel right getting a new one.

Thursday was horrible. I had physics lab and right after that the orgo lab I missed from Tuesday when I played Edgewood. I really, really don't like physics lab. Soon after those labs I had my playwrighting class. I clearly don't fit in with those people, not being a real drama girl. I snapped on my dad when he asked where I've been when I got home at 6:30 pm after leaving at 7:40 that morning.

I have even less of a social life than usual now. I didn't think this was possible. At least I'm forced to interact with my teammates. They're nice gals though. The girls tennis team even averages the highest  group GPA of all sports teams at RC. Still, I haven't gone out in a while; haven't had the time.

I hope everyone is doing well. Genki ne minna-san!

I hate physics lab. I really do.

"Shinigami's only eat apples"
[info]cyber_acid
I watched the two live-action Death Note movies yesterday with Jay. (Japanese with Eng. subs)  I've only read the first chapter of the manga series the movies are based on and damn, those movies kinda mess with your head. It's odd having the ingenious mass murderer as the protagonist. Jay and I were also rather sick of Detective L. We groaned every time he came on screen because he would be persistently eating things that looked nauseatingly sweet. I can imagine that the actor who played him has an undying hatred for candy now. Otherwise, the movies were made pretty well, if anyone wants to borrow them.

My first tennis match is tomorrow. I play RVC on home turf. I could have gone to practice today since Org. Chem lab let out early but instead I went to the comp. lab to work on my physics lab write up. It was really hot out today. Though I did get my sports physical done this morning. I turned that in right away.

My second playwright class and I've decided that theater and artsy people are weirder than I thought. That is all.
